Laura, works alongside key stakeholders, multi-sectoral service professionals, to deliver comprehensive, tailored training about the many facets of elder abuse, that effectively enhance systemic responses. With over 25 years of experience in interventions, response, and victim services, her work in long-term care and frontline crisis response, includes her previous roles as Executive Director with Victim Services (Kawartha/Haliburton) and the Edmonton EA Intervention Team. Laura understands the importance of trauma-informed, compassionate approaches essential to protecting the dignity and safety of older adults. Laura holds a diploma in Gerontology, a post-graduate Certificate in Victims of Crime Advocacy, and specialized Certification in Risk Assessment and Crisis intervention.
