Tyler Fleming is a financial services executive with a long-standing focus on serving and protecting vulnerable populations. He is currently the Vice President, Employer Services at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), one of Canada’s strongest and most stable defined benefit (DB) pension plans with nearly 500,000 members and overseeing more than $123 billion in assets.

Prior to HOOPP, Tyler led the Investor Office as a member of the executive management team at the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). In that role, he spearheaded the development of the OSC’s Seniors Strategy, established and chaired the Seniors Expert Advisory Committee, and collaborated with community partners on outreach, education and consumer protection initiatives to prevent financial abuse and exploitation of older adults.

Tyler’s experience spans senior roles in government, consulting and consumer protection, and he has been a frequent speaker in the media. He is deeply committed to community service, including prior service as Chair of the Board of The 519, an important City of Toronto agency supporting the 2SLGBTQA+ community.
