Registration is now OPEN

EAPO in partnerships with CEASE International (Countering and Ending Abuse via Structured Evaluation) is pleased to host a 3-day virtual Older Adult Risk Assessment Training Course: Harm to Older Persons Evaluation (HOPE), facilitated by Dr. Jennifer Storey, a Forensic Psychologist specializing in violence risk assessment and interpersonal violence.

HOPE is a violence risk assessment instrument designed to help predict and prevent abuse towards older adults.  The risk assessment tool for older adult mistreatment is based on empirical literature.

Dr. Storey, author of HOPE, will facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions to provide participants with the skills and tool needed to assess the risk of of older adult abuse, through considering the abuse, victim and perpetrator.  This training will guide participants in the completion of a comprehensive assessment of risk for future older adult mistreatment (OAM) using real case scenarios and in the development of a management plan to reduce the likelihood of continued OAM.
