Barriers to Digital Literacy for Older Adults: Bridging the Digital Divide
Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario in collaboration with Ontario Age-Friendly Communities Outreach Program explored the barriers of digital literacy in older adults.
This session, Dr. Madison Robertson, Research Coordinator, Centre for Studies in Aging and Health, explored the unique challenges older adults face, including fears of online abuse, security concerns, financial limitations, lack of technical support, and obstacles specific to vulnerable populations. An overview of program and services offered by Connected Canadians to enhance digital literacy for older adults was also provided.
