Consumer Rights: Empowering Seniors Against Fraud and Misconduct
Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario, in collaboration with the Consumer Protection Ontario (CPO), and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) informed participants about their rights under the Collection and Debt Settlement Services Act, Consumer Reporting Act, and Payday Loans Act and provided tips for avoiding financial scams based on lessons learned from past consumer complaints and enforcement actions.
