Fight Fraud
The webinar FIGHT FRAUD was presented by Steven Guiho, Auxiliary Acting Inspector with the OPP Auxiliary Program.
The FIGHT FRAUD presentation, developed by the OPP Community Safety Services and Serious Fraud Office, promoted fraud prevention and built awareness of frauds that threaten the safety and security of Ontario seniors. This presentation provided seniors with the tools to recognize, reject and report fraud.
The webinar highlighted specific frauds and scams that are common today, including: romance fraud, emergency fraud, CRA fraud, bank investigator fraud and spoofing and incorporated the Take Five campaign that focuses on slowing down and taking time to think about the demand for money or personal information before complying.
