Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada is dedicated to building a future free from violence for every Inuk woman and girl in Canada. To date, violence remains a pervasive social reality that actively shapes the lives and impacts the well-being of women and children across Inuit Nunangat.

This presentation focuses on the effects of Gender-based Violence on Inuit, its prevention, and interventions.

Senior Project Coordinator, Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada

Jennifer Jhingoor is a Senior Project Coordinator in the Violence and Abuse Prevention, Justice Department at Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada. Jen is a registered Social Service Worker who has been working in varying forms of social services and programming for more than 10 years. Prior to working with Pauktuutit, Jen has been working with the Government of Nunavut as a Transitional Housing Coordinator for Homelessness Initiatives, in Iqaluit.
