Global Intergenerational Week was started by Generations Working Together (GWT) in Scotland to celebrate and raise awareness of the impact of intergenerational programming all over the world. LINKages Society of Alberta is proud to serve as the Country Lead for Canada during this year’s Global Intergenerational Week – April 24 – 30, 2023.

Each day of the week has a specific theme to build and celebrate IG across the globe:

  • Day 1 (April 24) : Let’s Raise Intergenerational Awareness

  • Day 2 (April 25): Let’s Build Intergenerational Partnerships

  • Day 3 (April 26): Let’s Combat Loneliness and Social Isolation

  • Day 4 (April 27): Let’s Celebrate Intergenerational Spaces and Communities

  • Day 5 (April 28): Let’s Break Down Age Barriers

  • Day 6 (April 29): EU day – Solidarity between Generations

  • Day 7 (April 30): Campaign Round-Up
