Financial Literacy Month 2025
November is Financial Literacy Month
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Financial Literacy Month (FLM) in Canada. Since 2011, FLM has helped Canadians strengthen their financial knowledge and skills with the goal of improving their financial well-being. Led by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC), the campaign supports the National Financial Literacy Strategy 2021–2026. Each November, FCAC works with partners across sectors to promote financial literacy through education and outreach.
About this year’s campaign “Talk Money”
This year’s theme is “Talk Money”- a call to action to encourage open conversations about money across Canada, breaking down the stigma that often surrounds financial discussions. Talking about money with others can provide opportunities to learn new tips and resources, which can increase financial knowledge and confidence and can ultimately lead to better financial decisions.
Whether you’re a student trying to budget smarter, a parent managing household expenses, or an organization looking to support your audience, FLM is about encouraging conversations and sharing practical steps toward financial confidence.
