What is 211 Day?

  • On 211 Day, February 11th (2/11), United Way Centraide, 211 service providers across North America and their supporters use the opportunity to raise awareness of this valuable service in the community.

What is 211?

211 connects people to critical community and social services, including:

  • Multi-lingual and ethnocultural Mental Health Supports such as helplines, counseling and support groups
  • Essential needs like Food, Health and Housing
  • Support for Youth, Seniors, Persons with Disabilities, LGBTQ+, Indigenous, Black and Newcomer communities

211 is free, confidential and available 24/7 (even on holidays) in 150+ languages and can be accessed through multiple channels:

Join us in Celebrating National 211 Day!

Please help us celebrate 211 Day this year by spreading the message about 211 in your communities. Included below are shareables that can be used on February 11 and beyond:

  1. Download and print the 211 Day colouring sheet and post your own colourful 211 logo creation on social media using #211DayCanada or  in your front window to inform your neighbours about 211.
  2. To celebrate 211 Day, the buildings, monuments, and landmarks listed below will be participating from Central Ontario in our nationwide United Glow by illuminating their facades in 211 colours (red and white). Be sure to keep an eye out if you live near one of the landmarks listed below.Toronto – CN Tower
